I have always been interested in how publishers, and I mean, big publishers, have constructed their presences online, and BCC and CCN :) - just to make a silly joke - were THE ones I have always looked up to and always checked their online presence for the trends.

In the last three months, though, I’ve rather watched BBC on telly, than checked the news online, while for CNN, I only watched during some business trips to US.

Today, after a long long time, I had again this idea … let’s see what news CNN has & what is on BBC, what are their designers doing … well, I was in it for a surprise :) .. : the sites look like each other. One might get to the idea that BBC and CNN will soon merge. Hehehe … I don’t really wish I’ll see it, cause that really means economy goes to dust … though it does look like the two want to make a pact of non-aggression, or they’ve both found the key to usability going through the same layout and color codes. Ah, another explanation could be that they share the same design agency designer :)

I am mean, I know. But look at the two printscreens, and then remember how many and significant differences were between the two giants, just half a year ago. To be even more mean, I would say that in this merge CNN is the one buying out BBC, since CNN’s design is a bit better. Eh, just being mean.

NLP made me perceive the world with all senses opened and better prepared for the large amount of info I have to process. And to process wisely, I might add.

The next three days I’ll be again on a training session for NLP, I can’t wait to work on the new techniques. The very first sign that is obvious for me after taking those NLP trainings is the awareness I have for the sensorial perceptions in other people intends and forms of expression.

For instance, this research here is purely kinestesic. In fact, touching is one very important aspect of communication, yet very rarely used because of the all so many connotations …

So we may restrict ourselves to pets… or when we are allergic to them, or want to experiment more, to intelligent robots… the research in itself is very powerfull and I expect very strong outcomes… but the idea to have an artifficial pet just to touch it … it’s weird, right?

I have seen the Sony artifficial dog, and I immediately fell in love with it… for me, it was no difference from a real dog to that little cute guy that would light some lights when experiencing joy :)

Feelings inside are activated by simple touch and series of events. The outside object may be just a toy or a living soul, artifficial or not… it may not count as much to the inner reaction we experience.

Well, after announcing the instant messaging service for Facebook users a few days ago, now this worldwide community website makes a new move on globalizing its messages into all possible languages on Earth by involving its users into translating the interface

Aren’t we transforming ourselves into a folklore society … where everything has no particular author, just vast groups of people making the final message in a process of collective work? Yes, I think a new middle ages awaits us ..

This is an old thought of mine, that we are now like the Romans were back in 200 BC … having all resources at hand, properly using all information to gain societal, economical and cultural outcomes. But in a slow motion development, after 500 years, all of a sudden, the individual voice was no longer important, collective works became the most relevant for further development… and I can see this trend of collective (read “community”) based information and outcomes going to the new middle ages era. What do you think of that?

Heroe saves the worldWord goes that cybercrime experts from around the world will meet in Brussels this week to discuss how governments should counter attacks aimed at crippling the Internet and hitting users with data loss, identity theft and fraud.

“The European Union’s anti-terrorism has voiced concerns about cyber attacks and said the bloc was working on new laws addressing the increasingly common phenomenon” CNN comments.

While in Bucharest, the NATO summit begining this Wednesday will also address the same issue.

Cool! :)

CNN has decided to open an I-Report hub in Second Life, encouraging residents of Second Life to share their own “SL I-Reports” about events occurring within the virtual world.

This I-Report hub includes a news desk where CNN producers will hold weekly editorial discussions, and an amphitheater for larger in-world events, such as training sessions and appearances by CNN anchors and correspondents.

CNN’s first in-world training session will be held Tuesday, November 13, at 5 p.m. ET at the I-Report Hub , that is, if I’m guessing correcly, on the 14th around 1 o’clock in the afternoon.CNN I-hub
